The students are paid a weekly stipend of $300 for a minimum of six weeks or maximum of ten weeks. A limited amount of funds are available as reimbursement for travel and housing on a case-by-case basis for those students from outside the greater Los Angeles area. While participating in the program, students will be expected to attend a lecture series on aspects of pediatric oncology at CHLA designed specifically for them and will be encouraged to attend other scientific lectures in their area of research.
